On April 26, 1934 in l’Acul-Samedi, Annie Yvonne Dorsaint was born as the daughter of Mr. Renaud Dorsaint and his wife Damilia St Louis. Little Yvonne grew up under the watchful eye of her christian parents who taught her from her early childhood the Holy Scriptures as did Louis and Eunice . She attended a Presbyterian School in her community, where she distinguished herself very quickly by her superior intelligence among her classmates for whom she became a model student as well as a Christian Leader. She presided brilliantly over the youth committee of her Church for several years and caught the eyes of many young men. Among them, she chose the young Edouard Joseph, who became her husband and with whom she lived for 68 years until her death on October 8, 2019. From this union, 13 children were born, 4 of whom have died, and the other 9 are still living. Her highest satisfaction was that her 9 children have all grown up and continue to serve the Lord. They are all married and have given her 29 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Thus, we can say the Sr. Yvonne has seen 3 generations.
