Wayne L. Williams, 77, of Gainesville passed away at his residence on Monday October 21, 2019. Wayne was born on August 9, 1942 in Gainesville, to the late Vernon and Willene Williams. Mr. Williams was an Army Veteran and was retired from General Motors. After retiring from General Motors, he began serving others as a Chaplin at Northeast Georgia Medical Center for 25 yrs. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Betty and their 2 sons, Scott and Shane (Andrea) Williams; and grandchildren, Lauren, Colton and Anna Williams. The family will receive friends on Wednesday October 23, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. on Thursday October 24 at Calvary Baptist Church, the Rev. Raymond Latty will officiate. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Calvary Baptist Church Building Fund.
