SHELIA REBECCA (JACKSON) PORTER, age 63 of Jemison, passed away on October 29, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Chilton County on March 25, 1956; the daughter of the late James Lewis Jackson and the late Gertrude Pruitt Jackson. She was a former banking officer with Regions Bank. She was a devoted wife, and a loving Momma and Nana. Shelia never met a stranger and was loved by everyone she met. She is survived by: Husband, Stanley Porter of Jemison; Daughter, Amy (Jessie) Hucks of Jemison; Granddaughters, Harlie Hucks and Maci Hucks of Jemison; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by: Parents, James Lewis and Gertrude P. Jackson; Brother, Jerry Jackson; Brother, Bobby Jackson; and Sister, Sherian Mizzell. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 at 1:00pm from the Chapel of Ellison Memorial Funeral Home in Clanton with Rev. Jeff Carroll officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Collins Chapel Baptist Cemetery in Jemison, AL.
