Roy was born on October 31, 1945 in Harlingen, Texas. He worked for many years in the chemical plants as an Iron Worker. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Ramona Solis, brother, Salvador Solis, Jr. Roy is survived by his wife, Modesta Esther Zamora, daughters, Victoria Vasquez and husband Roylee, Rose Ann Buitron, Raymond Zamora, LeRoy Zamora and wife Amanda, sisters, Yolanda Ortiz and husband Juan Garcia, Berta Vuittonet, Janie Martinez and husband Luis, brother Pedro Solis and wife Theresa, grandchildren, Roylee Vasquez, Jr., Israel Vasquez, Edrick Vasquez, Kourntie Buitron, Kymberlie Buitron, Isaac Sandoval, Joseph Zamora, Serina Sanger, Rylee Zamora, and numerous other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Monday, October 28, 2019 at Scott Funeral Home in Alvin with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Alvin, Texas. Interment will follow in the Confederate Cemetery in Alvin.
