Rod Bantle, 48 of Byron Michigan passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at home in the loving arms of his wife. Rod was born October 27, 1970 in Howell Michigan to Ronald Lee Bantle and Judith Ann Epley. He attended Hartland High School graduating in 1989. Rod married his sweetheart, Cheryl Lynn Talbot in 1992. During their 27 years of marriage they raised their son, Micheal and enjoyed many years as Papa and Grandma to four granddaughters. To many Rod was known as “Stumpy” which always brought that tiny smile to his face we all loved to see. Rod’s passion for life was reflected in his love of the outdoors hunting and fishing. There wasn’t a deer season or goose season he missed. Rod’s unexpected, unannounced and frequent visits to family and friends will be deeply missed. Rod’s family that he leaves behind are his wife, Cheryl, son Micheal (Joleen) Talbot, dad and step-mom Ronald and Caroline Bantle, mom and step-dad Judy and Rich Harmon, father and mother -in-law Terry and Jamie Devine, sisters Rene’ King, Lisa (Joe) O’Donnell, Leah (Jerry) Morcom, brother-in-laws, Reggie Talbot and Terry (Michelle) Devine and a sister-in-law Erin (Dan) Call. Rod loved and enjoyed his many nieces and nephews. His four beautiful granddaughters, Olivia, Reagan, Megan and Kennedy have always been the twinkle in his eye.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Rod Stumpy Bantle October 27 1970 October 16 2019 (age 48).
