Robert A. Silva, 72, of Taunton , passed away on Sunday, September 29, 2019, at his home surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of fifty-two years to Donna E. (Desrosiers) Silva. Robert was born in Taunton, the son of the late Antonio L. And Mary J. (Ferris) Silva. Mr. Silva served his country during the Vietnam War with the United States Navy. He worked in the flooring and carpet industry (Bob’s Carpet) for over forty years, retiring in 2007. Bob cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. He loved camping, fishing and playing cards with friends. Survivors besides his wife are a daughter: Tami Freeman and her husband Gregg of Taunton; a son: Robert J. Silva of Taunton; three grandchildren: A.J., Camrin and Olivia; two sisters: Delores Balas of PA; and Patricia Pelletier of Attleboro; a brother: Frank Silva of Taunton; along with several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late James Silva. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019, at 9am, from the Crapo-Hathaway Funeral Home, 350 Somerset Ave., Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am in Saint Andrew the Apostle, 19 Kilmer Avenue, Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Burial to follow with Military Honors in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton. Calling Hours are Thursday, October 3, 2019, from 4-7pm, in the funeral home.
