Matthew James Manley, 41, of Fergus Falls lost his courageous battle with cancer, Tuesday, September 24, 2019, at Pioneer Care Center, Fergus Falls. Matthew was born June 9, 1978, in Minneapolis to James and Linda (Reiman) Manley and attended school in Bloomington. In 1997, he married Amber Geronsin, in Minneapolis. The couple later divorced. They were parents to James and Aumbra Manley, both of Fergus Falls. He was employed for 10 years with West Central Linen, with his son following in his shoes with the firm. Matthew was an avid and well-respected Fergus Falls area poker player and played in a number of tournaments in the region. He enjoyed long card rides, video games, the Vikings, cheering on his NASCAR driver and watching and playing golf. He was preceded in death by parents, James and Linda Manley. He is survived by his children, James and Aumbra Manley, Fergus Falls; his significant other, Jacquiline Sanvig, Fergus Falls; a sister, Melissa Manley, of the Twin Cities; a brother, Mark Gulbranson, Rothsay, MN; the mother of his children, Amber Geronsin, Fergus Falls; step-mother, Susan Gulbrandson and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, including special cousin, Dennis Brown, Jr., of the Twin Cities. A Celebration of Life will be held for Matthew at Calvary Free Lutheran Church, 1416 Co Hwy 111, Fergus Falls, on Sunday, October 13 at 3 PM. Condolences: GlendeNilson.com
