Mary Weeks Martin, 85, of Dawson passed away on October 25, 2019 at Wynfield Park Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be held at Harvey Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019 with Rev. Charles Jones officiating. A visitation will be held at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Mary was born March 3, 1934 in Geneva County, Alabama to John David Weeks and Lilla Bell Lashley Weeks. She and her husband owned the Plantation Inn Motel and Restaurant in Asheville, North Carolina for more than 25 years. She was also a fabulous baker and caterer. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Gene Joseph Martin. She is survived by her siblings, Edna Jackson (Jim) of Shellman, Lonie Rowe of Dawson and Robert M. Weeks (Mary) of Georgetown; three step-daughters, Susan, Amy and Joann; and numerous nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to: American Cancer Society P.O.
