Marilyn’s Obituary Marilyn J. Engel, age 91 of Freeport, IL, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Presence St. Joseph Nursing Home in Freeport. She was born on February 2, 1928 to Arlene (Resh) Michael and Max Engel. She worked for Crum & Forster Insurance Co. for 27 years, retiring in 1978. She was a former member of the Afolkey Church. Marilyn was an artist and was talented at drawing. She was also an avid reader and loved her cats. She is survived by her brother, LaVerne Michael of Eleroy, IL; nephew, Todd (Inger) Michael of West Salem, WI; niece, Michele (David) Kapp of Perryville, MO; many great nieces & nephews; and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Sandra Michael. A private interment will take place at Oakland Cemetery at a later date.
