Mrs. Lester Faye Leavens Hancock age 79 of Douglas, passed away Wednesday afternoon, October 9, 2019 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Leavens was born June 12, 1940 to the late Lester Leavens and the late Lillie Belle Leavens. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son: John Hancock, Jr. and 3 Siblings: Roy Leavens, Bennie May Thomas and Margie Nell Bennett. Mrs. Hancock, a native of Pearson, GA was a homemaker. Survivors include: 5 Children: Ronnie Hancock of Douglas, GA Benjamin Hancock of Jacksonville, FL Ernest Hancock of Douglas, GA Faye Hancock of DeLand, FL Tommy Hancock of Douglas, GA A number of Grandchildren 4 Great Grandchildren Several Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and a host of Friends The graveside service and interment will be Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2019 at Antioch Cemetery in Atkinson County with Rev. Clyde Purvis officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday afternoon, October 13, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until 1:30 P.M. at Ricketson Funeral Home.
