Ledford Sharpe, age 77 of Huntsville, TN passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville. Born in Scott County, TN on May 21, 1942, he was the son of the late George and Edna Jeffers Sharpe. He was a faithful member at Antioch Baptist Church where he loved to go. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Raiford L. Sharpe; two sisters, Vegeal Sharpe and Wyvona Bowling. Ledford is survived by his wife, Jeanetta Ipock Sharpe; one daughter, Gina Taylor and husband Josh of Pine Knot, KY; two sons, Dustin and Dereck Sharpe (Hannah Burchfield); one stepson, Greg Ipock; grandchildren, Megan Neal (Cody Neal) of Stearns, KY, Jacob Kidd (Whitney Kidd) of Strunk, KY, Nathan Taylor of Pine Knot, KY, Jalen Burchfield and Nevaeh Sharpe; great grandchildren, Weston Tucker, Brantley Tucker, Charley Kidd, Oliver Kidd, Nova Neal, Mia Kidd and Maxx Neal; many other relatives and friends. Friends may visit with the Sharpe family on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 12 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home with Bro. Carlie Duncan and Bro. Ricky Massengale officiating. Music will be provided by the Antioch Singers. Committal service will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be family and friends. West-Murley Funeral Home is serving the family of Ledford Sharpe.
