Laverne Kukla December 31, 1920 – October 24, 2019 On Thursday, October 24, 2019, Laverne D. Kukla entered into the Kingdom of Heaven to be reunited with all of her loved ones who have passed before her. She lived over 98 cherished years sharing her warmth and kindness with everyone she met. She enjoyed reading true crime books, oil painting and there was not a thrift store she did not like. She loved to sing-a-long to Johnny Cash music and she absolutely, positively had to have her chapstick in her pocket. That was our Laverne. She was 98 and truly great! Her beloved husband of over 50 years, Thomas Kukla, preceded her in death as well as her sister Ruth Reilly and her son-in-law Joseph Hardina. Laverne is survived by her younger sister Eugenia Andrew, a son and his spouse; Tom and Debbie Kukla; a daughter, Dianne Hardina, as well as four wonderful grandchildren; Britt, Judd, Kate & Brian and three precious great-grandchildren; Olivia, Parker & Morgan. Laverne was our angel here on earth and is now our angel in heaven. Visitation will be held Saturday November 2, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church S89 W22650 Milwaukee Ave. Big Bend from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am Interment at Rural Home Cemetery will follow.
