Kueber, 75, of Gurnee, IL passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2019. She was born May 28, 1944 in Tauton, MA. Kathleen wed Michael S. Kueber on November 29, 1969. She served in the Air Force for 2 years, and worked various Civil Service jobs thereafter while transferring with her husband during his service in the Air Force. She retired from Great Lakes Naval Base. She loved to travel and enjoyed Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Kathleen is survived by her husband Michael; daughter, Denise (Frank) Basinger; sons, Stephen (Shawn), and Michael C.; and grandchildren, Parker Basinger and Brian Kueber. Also surviving are her brother, Richard (Kathleen) Irwin; and sisters, Patricia Boles, and Judith (Billy) Tierney. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Matilda Irwin. Special thanks to Dr. Omid Javadi and the ICU staff at Advocate Condell Hospital. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2019 from 2-4 pm at Gurnee Salata Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, IL 60031. A service will be held at 3 pm. Burial will be at the Nassau Knolles Cemetery, Port Washington NY 11050 at a later date.
