Graveside services for Kathleen Mayfield Davenport age 72 of Haynesville, LA will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Old Town Cemetery with Bro. Leon Boggs officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home of Haynesville. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, October 7, 2019 at Bailey Funeral Home in Haynesville. Kathleen was born on August 16, 1947 in Haynesville to the late Edna Inez Reeder Mayfield and Dean A. Mayfield. She was a stay at home mom and kept the books for several local businesses. Once her children were school age, she became the cafeteria manager for Haynesville schools. Kathleen loved decorating her home and yard during the holidays, especially for Christmas. Christmas eve family time was a tradition that all her family will remember. She enjoyed crappie fishing on Lake Erling, where she was affectionately known as “Tabby Kat”. Kathleen was always up for a good game of Rook at Ladies Day and is most likely currently playing a game with her beloved mother, Inez. She was a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, whom will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Gary Ronald Mayfield, Kenneth Dean Mayfield and Barry M. Mayfield; and one sister, Ruth Ann Mayfield Edmonds Survivors include; her husband of 48 years, Donald “Dude” Davenport of Haynesville; two daughters, Kristi Lynne Bailey of Crossett, AR and Kimberly D. Bailey of Bossier City, LA; one son, Kenneth Lance Davenport and wife Mandy of Shongaloo, LA; seven grandchildren, Brittnee Sanders and husband Chris of Jacksonville, FL, Dakota Bailey and wife Megan of Magnolia, AR, Daniel Bailey of Crossett, AR, Bryce Bailey, Ella Bailey both of Bossier City, Harper Davenport and Bennett Davenport both of Shongaloo; six great grandchildren; one brother, James A. Mayfield of Haynesville, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be; Marion Powell, Mike Powell, Mark Bailey, and grandsons, Dakota Bailey, Daniel Bailey and Bryce Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be F.M Branch, Pat Branch and all of her special first cousins The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff of Regional Hospice, Missy Putman, Catrina Robinson and Dr. Michelle Pardue for the special care given to Mrs. Davenport during her illness.
