Joe F. Copeland of Troy passed away Monday, October 14, 2019, at Washington County Rehab and Nursing Center in Chipley, FL. He was 81. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 17, 2019, at Antioch Baptist Church with Elder Brian Sanders and Rev. Harry Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy. The family will also receive friends Thursday at the church one hour prior to the service. He was born October 24, 1937, in Pike County, AL, to the late James Wayne Copeland and Clemis Norris Copeland. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by four brothers: Wayne Copeland, Clem Tom Copeland, Charles Copeland and Leo Copeland and a grandson, Adam Copeland. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, June Knight Copeland, Troy; daughter, Melba Jo Davis (Billy), Ariton, AL; son, Jason Louis Copeland (Christie Campbell), Ariton; grandchildren: Karen Davis Watson (Craig), Ariton, Erika Copeland Lopez (Nick), Ariton, Tamara Klann (Mitch); great grandchildren: Gage Knighten, Kane Knighten, Tate Knighten, Gracie Little, Addy Davis, Logan Klann, Addison Lopez, Elan Lopez, and Destini Erwin; numerous family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Watson, Gage Knighten, Kane Knighten, Tate Knighten, Nick Lopez, and Rusty Copeland.
