James Cecil Troxler April 05, 1933 – October 17, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation James Cecil Troxler 86 of Normandy died October 17, 2019. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, October 20th, at Hillcrest Funeral Home Dr. Michael Bradley officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P.M. He was retired from the U.S. Postal Service; a Veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Suez Canal Crisis and the first fire chief of Normandy. He served as a member of the Bedford County Ag. board and solid waste and was a member of Normandy Presbyterian Church where he served as elder, sunday school superintendent, worship leader and greeter. James was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil K. and Lorine Troxler; a brother, Charles Troxler and a sister, Doris Walker. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara Crockett Troxler, several nieces and nephews and friends. Memorials may be made to Normandy Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 58, Normandy, TN. 37360 or to the Arrowhead Ranch, 239 Cortner Mill Rd., Normandy, TN. 37360.
