Gloria June Gafford, 90, passed away on October 13, 2019, at the Golden Living Center, Muncie, IN. She was born on December 26, 1928, in Johnson, Kansas. Gloria attended Colorado Springs College and Frankfort Wesleyan College. She retired as a minister’s wife after many years of service, which included serving 8 churches in 3 states including, Colorado, Nebraska, and Indiana. Gloria was a member of Central Wesleyan Church, Anderson. She is survived by her husband, Paul W. Gafford; children, Rachel (Doug) Hinton, Esther (Dennis) Slack, Meredith L. (Donna Jean) Gafford, Caroline (James) Staley, and Wendell (Debbie) Gafford; 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one on the way; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Olive E. (Thrush) Conard; brother, Royal Fount; sister, Chrystal Byrd. Visitation will be held at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013, on Saturday, October 19, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Services will be at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday with Rev. Doug Hinton and Rev. Dennis Slack officiating. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson.
