Haynie I, age 63 of Barfield, will be held on Friday, November 1, at 11:00 A.M., at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville. Burial will follow in Barfield Baptist Church Cemetery. Mr. Haynie passed away on Monday, October 28th, 2019 at his home in Barfield. Born in Fort Lauderdale Florida, he came to call Clay County his home for over thirty five years. Mr. Haynie was a Truck driver for more than twenty five years for Tyson foods. He also owned his own trucking company for a number of years. He liked to build model cars, attended and performed in drag racing, and loved his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Cheryl B. Haynie of Barfield; One daughter: Amanda Haynie, of Montgomery AL; two sons: Frank A. Haynie II of San Antonio TX, and Paul G. Haynie (Fiancée Anna Jennings) of Jacksonville AL; One sister: Jean Sorenson (Paul) of Deerfield, FL; three brothers: Ray Haynie (Paula) of New Mexico, Don Haynie of Key West, FL and Jodi Haynie of Anniston; six grandchildren and a large extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Haynie and Leslie Rogers Haynie; one sister, Joyce Haynie and one brother, Louis Haynie. Active Pallbearers will be: Justin Farr, Russell Sparks, P. J. Brinson, Chad Jenkins, Gary Calhoun, Colton Brewster and John Strange. Family will receive friends at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 31, 2019 and up until service time at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, November 1, 2019.
