Cynthia Flaugher-Rymer, 54, of Ashland passed away Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 20, 1965 in Ashland, Kentucky; a daughter of the late Woodford Barton and Phyllis Ann Kouns Flaugher. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her niece, Regan Leigh Arnold. Cynthia was a 1983 graduate of East Carter High School and graduated from Ashland Community College as Registered Nurse and was of the Christian faith. She is survived by a son, Rodney Reece of Ashland; two daughters, Casey Ann (Andrew Ramey) Flaugher of Ashland, and Carey Ann (Blake) Steen of Anson, Texas; a brother, Barton (Allison Hensley) of Grayson; a sister, Kimberly Ann (Paul, Jr.) Arnold of Russell; four grandchildren, Kayden, Sawyer, Abel, and Madelyn. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home, Steven Keyes and Perry Kouns, ministers. Burial will follow at the East Carter County Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
