Cecil R. Towle, 77, of Tallahassee, passed away on September 28, 2019, at Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on September 14, 1942. After serving two tours in Vietnam in the United States Marine Corps, he moved to Tallahassee in 1968. He worked for many years with the Tallahassee Police Department as a Homicide and Arson Investigator before retiring. A member of Trinity United Methodist Church, he loved traveling, animals, camping, but most importantly, he loved his family. He was also a Shriner and a member of the Tallahassee Marine Corps League. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Towle and David Towle, both of Tallahassee, Florida; sister-in-law, Brenda Johnson, of Tallahassee, Florida and her daughter; three grandchildren, Jessica Towle of Tallahassee, Florida, Codi Towle and Madison Towle, both of Oviedo, Florida. His wife, Kay Towle, preceded him in death in 2011. Visitation for family and friends is from 6:00 until 7:30 PM, Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at Abbey Funeral Home. A graveside memorial service is 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Tallahassee Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.abbeyfh.com.
