Betty Jean Blomberg October 15, 1924 – October 30, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Betty Jean Blomberg, 95, of Macon, MO, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019, at the Loch Haven Nursing Home in Macon. Betty was born on October 15, 1924, in Macon, the daughter of Alfred Enos and Nellie Mae (Orr) Browitt. She was united in marriage to John Blomberg on July 8, 1961, in Macon. Betty worked as a bookkeeper for most of her professional life and was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed playing basketball and being a gymnast in high school. Betty also loved her westerns and especially her own personal real-life John Wayne played by her beloved husband John Blomberg. Betty is survived by one of John’s daughters, Margaret Hill and her husband Tom of Maryland, six grandchildren, Mark Hill, Keith Hill, Todd Hill, Kevin Hill, Kendall Mager and Greg Loker, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on December 22, 2010, and John’s daughter, Linda Loker. Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, November 2, 2019, at the Hutton & McElwain Funeral Home in Macon. Burial will be in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery north of Macon. Visitation will be from 10-11 am, Saturday morning, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church. Print Obituary
