Bertha Kinsland, 88, of Brevard, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2019. Born in the Caney Fork section of Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Mary Jane Mathis Hensley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Luke Hensley, and her sisters: Atlas Mills, Lora Fisher and Althea Sherrill. She dearly loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her church family as well as her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known as “The lady that walks all the time,” she had been a member of the Cool Creek Ramblers, a singing group, with whom she sang and played guitar as she tried to be a blessing to other people by using her talents. Her loving survivors include her children: Danny Wood (Bobbie) of Pisgah Forest, NC and Cathy Greene (Mike) of Ennis, Montana; grandchildren Amy Galloway and Erin Creasman (Aaron); and great-grandchildren Katlyn Galloway, Adelyn Creasman and Ethan Creasman.
