Arleigh’s Obituary LITTLE FALLS – Arleigh J. Randall, 89, of Broat Road, died unexpectedly on October 27, 2019 at Faxton-St. Luke’s Healthcare, New Hartford. Mr. Randall was born on July 5, 1930 in the Town of Fairfield, a son of the late Willard and Marjorie (Gyer) Randall. Arleigh received his education at West Canada Valley Central School and worked on farms from an early age. On May 28, 1949, he was united in marriage with the former Norma M. Edick at the First United Methodist Church, Frankfort. On December 28, 1950, Arleigh entered the U. S. Marine Corps where he served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged on May 17, 1952 at the rank of Corporal. For 40 years, Arleigh was employed at Revere Copper and Brass in Rome, from where he retired in 1992. Norma preceded him in death on April 13, 2010. Mr. Randall was a member of the North American Hunting Association. Survivors include five children, Constance Ford of Middleville, Kevin Randall of Columbia, SC, Vincent (Angela) Randall of Irmo, SC, Cora (Dwayne) Parker of Ilion, and Denise (Clinton) Daley of Little Falls; one sister, Lovetta Rose of Ilion; four half-brothers, Harland “Sonny” Mower, Jr. of Little Falls, Gradin Mower of Ilion, Arnold Mower of Middleville and Lloyd Mower of Aurora, CO; ten grandchildren, Jacqueline Battisti, Russell Lovrin, Anthony and Michael Ford, Brittany Phillips, Robert Ferguson, Tiffany Oldick, Teshia Williams, Alyson Randall and Ty Daley; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Arleigh was predeceased by his son, Mark A. Randall on December 17, 1981; and by three half-sisters, Marjorie Wright, Madalyn Starlin and Madaline Carpenter. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at the Middleville Rural Cemetery on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. Military honors will be conferred by the U. S. Marine Corps. In accordance with Arleigh’s wishes, there are no public calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Autenrith Funeral Home, Newport.
