Alta Elease Godfrey Collis, age 78, of Milledgeville, passed away Friday, October 11, 2019. Funeral Services for Alta Collis will be conducted Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Glover officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM until the service hour. Interment will be Private. Mrs. Collis was born July 6, 1941 to the late Colon Godfrey and the late Vivian Smith Godfrey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Collis was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Lee Collis, by her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Gloria Godfrey. A native of Washington County, she lived in Fayette County for a number of years, before moving to Lake Sinclair in 1990. Survivors include: her Daughter, Tammy (& Tim) Swafford of Sioux Falls, SD ; her Sons, Butch (& Darlene) Bunch of Columbia, TN, and David (& Terry) Collis of Decatur, AL ; and her Sisters, Sandra (& Jimmy) Dollar of Hawkinsville, and Ann (& Mack) Kilcrease of Lake Sinclair; 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive. Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville is in charge of arrangements.

  1. I was sorry to hear this. My mother was a friend of Alta that dated back to 1979. They bought a home across the street at Lake Sinclair from Alta and Junior. I enjoyed the time spent there. Bobbie Carlsons daughter Rhonda.
