Alfred’s Obituary Franklin – Alfred Steele Mumford, 83, passed away October 26, 2019. Al was a native of Southampton County and was a son of the late David and Sallie Mumford. He was also predeceased by a sister Susie M. Copeland and four brothers, George, Jack, Carl and David Mumford. He was a member of Burdette Baptist Church. Survivors include one sister Edna M. Whitley of Chesapeake and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Tuesday October 29, 2019 in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley with Rev.
