Wilma L. (nee Lake) Werner, passed away peacefully at home with her family beside her on September 27, 2019 at the age of 77. She was born on November 15, 1941 in Batesville, IN to William and Erma (nee Vaughn) Lake. She lived a full life and enjoyed volunteering for PAWS Animal Shelter. She will be dearly missed by her husband: Robert Werner; sons: Greg (Barbie Lloyd) and Jeffrey (Bobbie Jo Moore) Werner; grandchildren: Elizabeth, Eric Werner & Jessica (Gideon) Dougoud; great grandchild: Gideon E. Dougoud II; and sisters: Mary (Terry) Taylor, Paula (David) White. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents: William and Erma Lake and siblings: Jane Nixon and Patsy Applegate. Family and close friends will gather for a Memorial Grave side service on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11 AM at Indiana Veterans Cemetery, 1415 North Gate Road, Madison, IN 47250. Wilma asked that memorials be made to PAWS of Dearborn County. This can be done by mailing your donation to Brater Winter Funeral Home made payable to PAWS.
