William A. “Bill” Nelson, 55, of Smackover, AR passed away Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Baptist Health Medical Center North in Little Rock, AR. Bill was born December 17, 1963 in Camden, AR to the union of William Ronald Nelson and Dottie Traylor Nelson. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Ronald Lee Nelson. Bill was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his mother, Dottie Nelson, one sister, Jerri Nelson, his longtime companion, Jessica Shelby, all of Smackover, AR. two nieces, Mandy Primm and husband Tony of Faircrest, and Kila Bennett and Paul Daly of Smackover, AR. one nephew, Nichols Johnson-Nelson of Faircrest, two great nieces Gracelyn Daly and Madelyn Daly, three great nephews, Ballard Bennett, Noah Dalton and Nate Dalton, and his K9 companion, Sweets. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation services provided by Bailey Funeral Home of El Dorado, AR.
