Troy Eugene Smith went to be with the Lord on Sept. 17, 2019. at the age of 58. Troy was born July 27, 1961, to Troy N. Smith and Deloris (Maziel) Bucannon. As a child the family moved to the Marland area where he attended Marland School. As a teenager Troy worked for his dad and enjoyed boxing and held the Golden Gloves for southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma. He also enjoyed racing R.C. 10s. Later in years, Troy loved to praise God and attended Faith Tabernacle with pastor Don and Norene Stanton as they gave Troy guidance in his life journey. Troy is survived by his mother Deloris and stepdad Tommy Bucannon, brothers Charles L. and wife Carol Smith, T.J. Bucannon, son Troy Brandon and wife Annheidi Smith and grandson Braun Smith, step-sister Diane Thorton, step-brother Don Landreth, several nieces and nephews. Troy was preceded in death by his dad Troy N. Smith, stepmother Francis Smith, sister Lisa Clayton and step-sister Darla Mater. Services will be held on Sept. 28, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Faith Tabernacle Church, 501 South Fifth Street, in Ponca City. Funeral services are under the direction of Amy Stittsworth Funeral Home. A special thanks goes to Hospice of North Central Oklahoma for taking care of him in his final days.
