Obituary of Norman Jones Boonville- Norman Donald “Jonsey” Jones, 86, of North Fort Myers, FL, former Boonville Resident, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at his residence in North Ft. Myers. Norman was born in Rome, on June 2, 1933, a son of Donald W. and Minnie Salmon Jones. He grew up in the Boonville area, graduating from Boonville Central School, with the Class of 1951. Thereafter, Mr. Jones was employed for over 30 years at Revere Copper and Brass Co. Rome. Later in life, he lived in Cape Coral and North Fort Myers, FL. He greatly enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, genealogy and line dancing. Norman is survived by one son and daughter in law, Louis and Cathy Jones, four daughters and three sons in law, Mary (John) Gregory, Denette Smith, Denise (Michael) Roubik, all of Virginia Beach, VA, Denial (Jason) Kohl, Port Leyden; eight grandchildren, Eric, Erika, Jamie, Luke, Michale, Jessica, Jennifer and Ashley; three great grandsons, Harrison, Kaiden and Vincent, and one sister, Gail Parsons, Verona. He was predeceased by his daughter, Donee Ann Jones, his mother, Minnie Jones, his father, Donald Jones and his wife, Valerie Mynter Jones, in 2015. Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Friday, September 20, at 1:00 P.M. at Carmichael Hill Cemetery, Town of Western. There are no calling hours. Norman loved animals; memorial contributions may be made to Lewis County Humane Society, P.O. Box 682, Lowville, New York 13367. His arrangements are in care of Trainor Funeral Home, Inc. Boonville.
