Nancy Geer Alexander, 92, went to be with her Lord on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Born on September 4, 1927 in Rutherfordton, NC, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John and Irene Geer. She was a graduate of Agnes Scott College, taught piano for many years, and truly enjoyed sharing her gift of music with the residents of Wesley Commons where she resided for over 12 years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood. Known as Nancy, ‘Nina’, great grandmother, mom, and friend, she was greatly loved by those around her. Nancy is survived by her children Michael Alexander (Deborah) of Germantown, TN, and their children Geer (Jordan), Austin and William; daughter, Kirby King of Greenville, SC, and her children Kelly Barry (Matt), Tucker (Danielle), Brady, Scott and Cooper; daughter-in-law, Beverly Alexander and her children, Sara, Mary and John of Orlando, FL, and special friend, Henry Buchanan. She was predeceased by her husband Don Alexander and son, Scott Alexander. A celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 14, at 2:00pm, in Asbury Hall at Wesley Commons, Greenwood, SC.
