Mildred Lorene Merritt Fisher Taylor, 91, formerly of 230 Lowell Avenue, widow of Cole Blease Fisher, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 at NHC of Greenwood. Born on March 26, 1928 in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Albert Lee Merritt and Annie Louise Clem Merritt. Mildred retired from Greenwood Mills. She was a member of Westside Baptist Church and attended Waterloo United Methodist Church. She was twice married, second to the late Lawrence Taylor. Surviving are her children, Dianne Mitchell (Thomas), William Fisher (Jo), Barry Fisher (Laura), Patrick Fisher (Emily) and Krista Nichols (Craig); a sister, Jean Garron; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Caris Hospice, 446 East Cambridge Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646 or to Waterloo UMC, PO Box 30, Waterloo, SC 29384.
