Melvin’s Obituary Melvin Ray Totra, 77, of Cahokia, Illinois, born September 20, 1942 in St. Louis, Missouri, died Monday, September 23, 2019, at his residence. Melvin was retired from Pevely Dairy in St. Louis, MO and was a member of Teamsters Local 600 in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Totra, nee Rials; a son, Raymond Totra; his mother, Rose Mary Thomas; a brother, Larry Thomas; and two sisters, Brenda Foster and Maryann Vent. Surviving are his children, Tammy Goodues of Hillsboro, MO, Mark (Karen) Totra of East Carondelet, IL, and Craig (Sue Anne Hampton) Totra of Cahokia, IL; a brother, Robert Totra of Florida; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was also a dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Friends may visit from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at Braun Family Funeral Home, Columbia, Illinois. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Roger Reid officiating. Burial will be in St. Trinity Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Read More
