Marlene F. Newland of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee September 27, 1935 – September 28, 2019 Marlene Newland age 84 of Mt. Juliet passed away September 28 at her residence. Ms. Newland was born on September 27, 1935 to the late Orley and Stella (Cunningham) Howell. Ms. Newland is preceded in death by her parents, one son Victor W. MacDonald and one sister Shirley Cannon. Ms. Newland is survived by husband of 48 years John E. Newland, two sons Robert (Anna) Newland and Kevin (Becky) Newland, one daughter Susan MacDonald (Tim Aldrich). Six Grandchildren; Jessica, John Daniel, Elizabeth, Michael, Jacob and Abigail Newland. Two great-grandchildren Aubrey and Kimberly Knox. Visitation with the family will be held Tues Oct. 1 from 3pm until 7pm and Wed Oct. 2 from 10am until 12pm at Boyd Funeral Home. Funeral Services for Ms. Newland will be held at 12pm October 2, 2019 from the chapel of Boyd Funeral Home with Bro. Corey Minter Officiating. Burial will follow at Newland Cemetery. Tim Aldrich, John “Daniel”, Michael, Robert, Kevin and Jacob Newland will serve as Pallbearers.
