Marie Cooper Bellah, age 94, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2019 in Kennesaw, Georgia. She was born June 30, 1925 in Fairburn, Georgia to the late Monroe Mitchell and Lillis Christine Cooper. She was a graduate of Russell High School in East Point, Georgia, and retired from Southern Bell following 23 years of service. She was known by all for her compassion and kindness, and dearly loved her family, friends, music, and animals. She was a member of Fairburn United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Harold Clayton Bellah, Jr., and is survived by her daughters, Christie Marie Bellah and Elizabeth Ann Smith, sons-in-law Cecil Dean Kwong and Andrew Cade Smith, grandchildren Kevin Michael Kwong, David Robert Kwong, Michael vonPhul Smith, and Marie Elizabeth Smith, sister-in-law Marjorie Geraldine Bellah, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 2 o’clock at Parrott Funeral Home, 8355 Senoia Road – Highway 74, Fairburn, Georgia, 30213. Reverend Jay Hodges will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairburn United Methodist Church, 5 Washington Street, Fairburn, Georgia, 30213.
