November 30 1934 September 19 2019 (age 84)
Mansoureh Tajallai, age 84, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and best friend passed away quietly on a beautiful early fall day on September 19, 2019 in Newburyport, MA. Mansoureh (Maman to those who loved her) was born on November 30, 1934 in Tabriz Iran. The first daughter of Hossein and Zahra Tajallai. Married young to Einollah Nazari, she bore her son Ghasem and her three daughters Firoozeh, Manijeh, and Fereshteh. Her husband died in a tragic car accident, leaving Maman to raise her four young children on her own in Iran. Following her daughter Manijeh, Maman migrated to the United States in 1983, and the extended family soon followed. Maman had two great loves: Her family and cooking. She delighted in speaking to her family on Skype every day that lived far including her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews. She adored her grandchildren Hessam, Hamed, Bahador, Saharnaz, Babak, Arsalan, Sonya, Bobby, Eric, Tara, and Puya, and looked forward each weekend to spending time with her two great grandchildren Arya and Owen. She was a pillar of strength to all who knew her, a rock to all her children, and a loving mother to her children-in-law Behrooz, Peter, Aref, and Nasrin. Maman’s gentleness was infectious. It was impossible to not feel loved when in her presence. It is as if she could sense when people needed to be cared for, needed an extra bit of love. Maman understood the importance of good food and how it brings family together. Her love was captured in the care and attention she put in every dish she made. Maman made every holiday special. Whether Thanksgiving or Persian New Year, Manijeh would often pronounce “I just set the table. Maman does all the cooking.” She drew great pleasure in seeing her family surrounding a table covered with Persian dishes she spent all day preparing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life gathering on Wednesday September 25th at 11:00 am, at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home located at 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA 01950. Followed by burial at Belleville Cemetery in Newburyport. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center, a shelter that provides support services to battered women and their children.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Mansoureh Tajallai November 30 1934 September 19 2019 (age 84).
