Linda Lee Steuart December 12, 1932 – September 13, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Linda Lee Steuart, age 86, of Topeka, passed away on Friday, September 13, 2019 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. Linda was born on December 12, 1932 in Clinton, Missouri as the daughter of Lindsey and Mable Adkins Whitworth. She grew up in Clinton, graduating from Clinton High School in 1951. She graduated from Central Missouri State and later received her master’s degree in home economics from the University of Missouri. She married D. Gene Steuart in 1959. He preceded her in death on June 18, 2011. Linda worked for over 31 years at Highland Park High School and Washburn Rural High School as a home economics teacher. Gene and Linda were franchisees for Pizza Hut of Arizona. Gene and Linda enjoyed traveling and spending time with their grandkids. They lived in the Tucson area for part of the year later in their lives. Linda was preceded in death by two sisters, Louann McCabe and Lois Schiedler. She is survived by two sons, Jon B. Steuart and Jim W. Steuart, both of Topeka, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Memorial services will be on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Henry County Museum and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. davidsonfuneral.com.
