Leroy Borgelt, 71, of Elizabeth, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at his home near Elizabeth. He was born December 18, 1947, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Ben and Marcile Baldauf Borgelt. He was retired from the Ford Motor Company Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, and was a member of the U.A.W., the Elizabeth Volunteer Fire Department, and the catholic faith. Survivors include his wife, Barbara J. Faith Borgelt; his son, Joshua Borgelt of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his daughters, Amy Allen (Lewie) of Scottsburg, Indiana and Andrea Lawson (Joey) of Elizabeth; his mother in law, Shirley Faith of Laconia; his brothers, George Borgelt (Laura) and Ben Borgelt both of Elizabeth; his sisters, Lynette Borgelt of Elizabeth, Diana Faith (Roger) of Laconia, Debbie Doyle of Elizabeth, Jeanne Craig (Ron) of New Salisbury, and Julie Miller (Steve) of Laconia; and his grandchildren, Logan Allen, Madison and Lane Laplant, and Jakob Borgelt. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Union Chapel Cemetery Fund.
