Lavon’s Obituary Lavon Couch, 79, of Jeffersonville, IN, passed away at 6:25 PM on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at River Village Nursing Home. Lavon was born on Saturday, December 9, 1939 in Henryville, IN. She was the daughter of Frank D. Detalente and Juanita (Taylor) Roark, who are both deceased. On August 11, 1956, she married Kenneth Couch, who preceded her in death on March 23, 2009. Lavon was a homemaker and a loving mother. She enjoyed crocheting, making afghans for her family, spending time at the casino, and playing bingo. She was a big animal lover, fed the wildlife around her home, and cared for stray animals. She also had a great fondness for her pet Macaw birds. Survivors include, 1 brother, Frank Detalente of Louisville, KY, 4 sons, Gino (Laura) Couch of Charlestown, IN, Dale (Robin) Couch of Charlestown, IN, Robert Couch of Jeffersonville, IN, and Jimmy Couch of Jeffersonville, IN, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Kenneth. Pastor T.C. Baker will conduct memorial services at 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 22, 2019 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Henryville, with internment of cremains to follow at Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison at a later date.
