Laurel Rae Stone, 78 of Blountville, TN passed away at her home on Monday, August 26, 2019. She was born November 27, 1940 to the late Rae & Gilbert Goodsell in Kewanee, Ill. Laurel was preceded in death by her two brothers, Larry and Charles. Survivors include two daughters, Deborah (David) Dumas of Birmingham, AL and Pamela (Mark) Hays of Newton, NC; two grandchildren, Brianne Hays and Kelsy Hays both of Hickory, NC; two great-grandchildren, Alice Hays and Ames Hays both of Hickory, NC; one sister, Kay (Wayne) Begley of Kingsport, TN; six nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews; and special friend Todd McKown of Blountville, TN. Laurel has asked that her body be cremated and that no services be held. In lieu of flowers please donate to any animal shelter or other charity of your choice.
