LaRene Hesebeck, age 76, of Harris, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Pearl Valley Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa. A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, September 28, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. at Lake Park Community Center in Lake Park. LaRene Deana Hesebeck, the daughter of Floyd and Nadine (Morris) Wolter, was born on June 8, 1943 in Sibley, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm in rural Allendorf, Iowa, attending country school in her youth and graduating from Sibley High School in 1961. On January 18, 1963, LaRene was married to Jerry Hesebeck at the First Baptist Church in Sibley, Iowa. The couple raised their four children in the rural areas of Melvin, Iowa and Milford, Iowa before later settling in Harris, Iowa. LaRene was a homemaker and also worked at the Lake Park Care Center for over 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, crafts, reading, and doing puzzles. She was a wonderful cook and her family will fondly remember the many meals shared at her table and the delicious snacks and treats she would provide for many occasions. LaRene was a faithful member of the Excelsior United Methodist Church, Milford, Iowa, and other members and friends always looked forward to the sweet pickles she would bring to the Harvest Auction each year. LaRene passed away on September 15, 2019 at Pearl Valley Care Center in Lake Park, Iowa at 76 years of age. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hesebeck; son, Treven (Jennifer) Hesebeck of Lake Park, IA; son, Trent (Samnang) Hesebeck of Ocheyedan, IA; daughter, Rebeka Hesebeck of Minneapolis, MN; and son, Traves (Joanna) Hesebeck of Melvin, IA. Eight grandchildren; brother, Gary (Jessa) Wolter of Allendorf, IA; and sister LaVon (LeRoy) Ball of Greeley, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Cheryl Wolter.
