Johnson, Sr. was born April 23, 1935 and born into eternal life Saturday, September 28, 2019. Joe spent his life in sales. He was a candy and food broker, and owner of the old Cobblestone Gift Stores and a produce store in Florida. He was a graduate of Shawnee High School and a member of Shepherdsville Church of Christ. He lived for several years in Florida but was so glad to have recently come home to Kentucky. He loved meeting people and spending time with his family. Joe is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Joseph Johnson, Jr. (Sherry), Brenda Johnson, Jeannie Richerson, Karen Snow and Anita Mathis (Glenn); 18 grandchildren, and 25 great grandchildren; and more friends than anyone can count. His funeral is 1pm Wednesday at Fern Creek Funeral Home, 5406 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation is 3-7pm Tuesday.
