John’s Obituary John M. Terwilliger, age 75 passed away suddenly on September 23, 2019. Beloved husband of Coralise (née Morales) and proud father of Coralise M. (Michael), and Michelle (William). Loving brother of James. Dear brother in law to Alicia (Sam), Brenda (Jay, Stanley deceased), Cyndi (Rick), and Ernie (Lisa). Beloved step grandfather to Alyssa, Ethan and Jacob. Dear Uncle to James (Kelly), Joshua, Catherine, Charles, Tricia, Scott (Kristen), Amy, Rick (Valerie), Marc (Nicole), Cyndi, Ellen, Benjamin, Arianna and Blaise. Great Uncle to Derrick, Nik, Michael, Mason, Darien, Brianna, James, Kathryn, Nicholas, Christina, Samantha, Rachael, Sydney, Alex, Jacob, Autumn, Grace, Corey, Kellyanne, Tyler, Nevaeh, Kyler, Catherine, Sophie, Arya, Cambria and Margaret. John was born in Cleveland, Ohio to James and Bernice Terwilliger. He grew up and lived his whole life in the Slavic Village area. He attended Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary School and Benedictine High School. As a young man he played softball, hockey and bowled on a league. He was a manager for softball leagues and was often found at Morgana Park during that time of his life. John married Coralise at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in 1965. They were married for almost 54 years. He was honored to celebrate their 50th anniversary at a mass at St. John’s Cathedral presided by Bishop Lennon. Their union brought a legacy of love. They had two daughters Coralise and Michelle. He was so proud of his girls. John worked for the US Postal Service and retired after 30 years of service. John enjoyed going to the casino to play cards and often visited Atlantic City. He loved animals and had many pets over the years. He enjoyed working the bakery booth at the Our Lady of Lourdes International Festival. At home, John could be found walking the dog, watching Pickers and old black/white western movies. He enjoyed spending time with his family and having fun at the family Christmas parties. John will be remembered by his wife, daughters, brother, family and friends. He will be dearly missed. Family and friends are welcome on Sunday, September 29, 2019, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Slone & Co. Funeral Directors 13115 Lorain Ave., with concluding services at 8pm.
