Mr. John C. Reed Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Leonville, LA, for Mr. John C. Reed, 73, who entered eternal rest, Friday, September 27, 2019 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Serenity Memorial Park. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Mrs. Eula M. Reed of Opelousas, LA; two sons, John D. Reed (Ezola) of Opelousas, LA and Jarome Savoy of Grand Coteau, LA; six daughters, Sandra A. Collins (David)) of Houston, TX, Melissa A. Prince (Ronald), Keisha M. Reed (Cody McClendon), Erica L. Reed (Tim Thomas), Courtney A. Edmond (Brian) all of Opelousas, LA and Kesha Journet of Cecilia, LA; three brothers, Gerald Reed of Lafayette, LA, Charles Riggs of Arnaudville, LA and Joseph T. Reed of Opelousas, LA; eight sisters, Clara Roberts, Cheryl Tolliver, Carolyn Robert all of Arnaudville, LA, Mary Charles, Virgie Sam, Barbara Reed all of Leonville, LA, Joy Robert McNeil of Arnaudville, LA and Shirley Johnson of Houston, TX; two step sisters, Tina Stein and Monica Stein both of Arnaudville, LA; two Godchildren, Ty’Liah Guillory of Opelousas, LA and Shaketta Steward of Arnaudville, LA; twenty grandchildren, four great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mr. Reed was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Reed and Virginia Roberts; a son, Ronnie J. Reed; a sister, Shirley Major Thomas; three brothers, Lawrence Reed, Cleveland Reed and Norman Reed and a grandson, Jaylin R. Levier. Visiting hours will be observed from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Williams Funeral Home.
