Geneva Ruth Anderson May-Robinson of Asheville, North Carolina, died Tuesday, September 24, 2019. Geneva was born in Madison County on May 14, 1929, to Mamie Ellen Buckner Anderson and Walter Hilliard Anderson. She graduated with Woodfin High School’s Class of 1947, and worked for the American Enka Company in the research lab. She was a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church (now Brookstone). Preceding Geneva in death were her parents; her first husband, Robert Morris May; her second husband, Paul Richard Robinson; two siblings, Faye V. Anderson and Gaye E. Anderson Phillips; and nephew Jack Dale Phillips. Geneva is survived by her children, daughter Edie May Robinson (Robert Kern) of Candler, NC, and stepson Ron S. Robinson (Linda) of Taylors, South Carolina; her grandson Paul S. Robinson (Nicole) of Aiken, SC; two great-granddaughters, Oswyn E. Robinson and Olive E. Robinson, of Aiken, SC; niece, Linda Phillips Lloyd (Barry); great niece Danielle Lloyd and great nephew Jared Lloyd; and many nieces and nephews, from the May family. No services are planned at this time.
