Chance Lane Dower, 44, of Fulshear, Texas passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 in Houston. Andrews Services – Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 2:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2019 at Means Memorial United Methodist Church, 311 NE 2nd Street, in Andrews with Rev. Rick Doyle, officiating. A gathering will be held following the service at the home of Shannon Stilwell in Midland. Inurnment of cremated remains will be held in the Andrews Old Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM on Thursday at McNett Funeral Home. Cremation arrangements and services are under the personal care of McNett Funeral Home in Andrews. Houston Services – Family and friends will gather to share their best memories and moments at a dinner from 6 – 9 PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2019 at Wildcatter Saloon, 26913 Katy Fwy, in Katy. Chance was born on April 22, 1975 in Andrews, Texas. He was raised in Andrews and graduated from Andrews High School in 1993. He graduated from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology. He had worked as the Campus Director of the International Business College from 1999 – 2001 in Midland, as a Special Education Teacher from 2001 – 2006 for the Andrews Independent School District, worked as a Recruiting Manager and Trainer for Energi Personnel from 2008 – 2010 in Midland and Odessa, and was currently the Branch Vice President of Talent Development for Frontline Source Group in Houston, where he had worked from 2010 – 2019. Chance was the life of the party and loved to socialize with everyone. He never met a stranger and was everyone’s best friend. He was compassionate, fun-loving, outgoing, and was a fashion trendsetter, GQ kind of guy. Chance enjoyed floating the river, spending time at the beach, and was an accomplished foodie. Chance is survived by his partner, Rafael Angulo and his son, Nico, of Fulshear, 6 siblings, Kelly Gerald of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Ronnie Dower of Abilene, David Dower of McKinney, Vikki Rives of San Antonio, Dusti Daniel of Marion, Texas, and Shanna Fuentes of San Leon, Uncles and Aunts, Randy and Reba Stilwell of Midland and Kerby and Patsy Gerald of Andrews, and many beloved cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nita Gale Gerald Dower and Allen Wayne Dower, grandparents, Charlie and Jaunita Gerald, and infant sister, Heather Visage.
