Virginia Elizabeth Watson, age 73, passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Wednesday, August 21, 2019. She was born in Etowah County, Alabama on December 6, 1945 to Roy and Juanita Patterson and was a resident of Arab for the past fifty years. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband; Billy Wilburn Watson, her daughter; Diedra Watson, one sister; Connie Patterson, and her parents. She is survived by her son; Chad E. Watson, one daughter; Denise Watson, one brother; Roy Otis Patterson Jr. (Tana), one sister; Joyce Patterson Campbell (Bethel), five grandchildren; LeShawn Thomas, Shannon Thomas, Jonathan Cach, Isaac Watson, and Dillon Watson, and two great-grandchildren; Bryson Thomas and Chloe Thomas Mrs. Watson was a faithful member of Life Gate Baptist Church. She enjoyed making jewelry, and passing the time watching hummingbirds. Her greatest pleasures were helping people, singing, and loving her family. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 7th, 2019 at Life Gate Baptist Church in Arab with Bro. Jeff Mims officiating.
