Thomas Gary McCurry, 84, husband of Bertha Bryant McCurry, of 1533 Blue Ridge Blvd, Seneca, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019, at his residence. A native of Seneca, SC Mr. McCurry was the son of the late Arthur Roy and Leona Brucke McCurry. He retired as a machine operator from Greenfield Industries and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Mr. McCurry was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Mr. McCurry is survived by his son: Greg McCurry (Janet) of Anderson; a daughter: Teresa Moore of Walhalla; and four grandchildren: Dylan and Brian Moore and Jarrett and Aaron McCurry. In addition to his parents, Mr. McCurry was preceded in death by a sister: JoAnn Byrd. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, on Monday, September 2, 2019, at Davenport Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM, on Monday, September 2, 2019, prior to the service, at Davenport Funeral Home. Flowers are accepted, or memorials may be made to Prisma Health Hospice of the Foothills, 298 Memorial Drive, Seneca, SC 29678. The family is at the home.
