Russell W. Huegle Jr, age 72, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Friday August 16, 2019 at his residence. Mr. Huegle was born on October 3, 1946 in Wooster, Ohio the son of the late Russell William Huegle Sr. and Marietta Remington Huegle. He worked as an electrician with PCC and Elixer Industries and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam Conflict. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Watts Huegle and two sisters, Mary Lou Haney and Martha Sue Knight. Survivors include two daughter, Brenda Huegle of Douglas, GA and April Parker (husband Chris) of Douglas, GA; son, Rusty Huegle of Douglas, GA; brother, Bill Huegle of Doylestown, Ohio; two grandchildren, Haylee Parker and Evan Parker. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 26, 2019 at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Floyd Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at Satilla Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6pm until 9pm at Sims Funeral Home. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.simsfuneralhome.org.
