Rodger’s Obituary Rodger Lee Beckcom, 64, of Port Neches passed away on Friday, August 2, 2019 at the Methodist Hospital in Houston. He was born on June 4, 1955 to his parents, Virgil Beckcom and Elsie Saylor Beckcom in Port Arthur, Texas. Rodger was a lifelong resident of the area. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1973. Rodger worked for Bill Clark Pest Control for over 20 years. He was a longtime member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Nederland. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Curtis M. Beckcom. Rodger is survived by his two sons, Curtis Beckcom and his fiancée, Brooke of Houston, Paul Beckcom and his wife, Kristen of Port Neches, his granddaughter, Keira Beckcom of Port Neches. Visitation will be on Friday, August 9, 2019 from 3:00 PM till 4:00 PM at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home in Groves. Service to honor Rodger’s life will be at 4:00 PM Friday at Clayton Thompson.
