Robert L. “Bob” Ferguson January 10, 1935 – August 27, 2019 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Memorial Donation A celebration of life service for “BOB” will be held at 2:00 pm Sat., Aug. 31, 2019 at the HAZELWOOD CHRISTIAN CHURCH, located at 9977 S. Co. Road 0 in Hazelwood. A visitation will take place from 12:00 Noon until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow in the Clayton Cemetery. “Bob” was born in Grand Rapids, MI. to the late Leland R. and Edna B. (Williams) Ferguson. He was a 1953 graduate of South Bend Central (IN.) High School. He later graduated from the FAA Academy in Oklahoma. “Bob” married Marlene Grimm, July 20, 1957. He was an electronic technician for 30 years with the FAA, retiring in 1995. “Bob” served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church, formerly serving as a deacon of the church. “Bob” enjoyed being a radio “Ham Operator”. He was a member of the ham amateur radio club of South Bend, IN., as well as the ham amateur radio club of Hendricks County. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Marlene, daughter, Kathleen (Richard) Mroz – Avon, granddaughters, Kaitlin and Haley Mroz, sister, Marilyn Robbins – Lancaster, PA, and half-sister, Lorraine Wheeler – Vancouver, WA.
